Assistant Store Manager - Selling

Overview of Position:Assist the Store Manager in achieving service goals and maximizing sales and profitability while leading selling teams in the achievement of customer service and business goals. Key Accountabilities: Coach and develop Selling Managers to lead Selling Teams in achieving customer service and business goals. Model Customer Service standards with customers while covering the store. Ensure Selling Managers support and participate in store/company recruitment and retention plans. Ensure achievement of exceptional Customer Satisfaction Survey results. Ensure maximum utilization of available training resources (i.e., product knowledge seminars and videos, Tool Box, certification programs, etc) to develop Selling Teams. Review and monitor Customer Service feedback, recommend improvements as needed and implement Customer Service programs. With the Human Resources Manager and Selling Managers, review staffing needs and make recommendations where necessary. Ensure strong partnerships are established and maintained between Selling and Merchandising teams. Value the diversity of our associates, customers and community. Follow up and respond to Customer Service issues. Function as acting Store Manager. Ensure associates are building relationships to develop clientele. Recognize associate excellence in measurable sales and service results. Promote team building through recognition and retention. Develop associates for succession planning. Oversee storewide events and special events. Facilitate store committees. Mentor high potential associates. Understand and enforce safety standards and requirements. Participate with store team to deliver whatever is right for the customer, which may include assuming responsibilities outside routine job functions.
