SUMMARYWorks as a team with the Store Manager to pursue the achievement of the stores sales and profit goals through management, direction and working closely with the store staff.
Performs the position duties and responsibilities in accordance with the company’s Statement of Values.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following, other duties may be assigned.COMPANY PRINCIPLESAs an employee of Pomare, Limited, promotes the Vision and Mission of the company. Performs the position duties and responsibilities in accordance with the company’s Statement of Values.SALES PERFORMANCE1)Assists the Store Manager in achieving the overall sales results and bottom-line performance of the store.2)Spends time on the sales floor working with customers, training and coaching sales staff.3)Works with the Store Manager to develop sales goals, coordinates markups, markdowns and overall inventory management.4)Works with sales associate to establish personal goals and monitors their performance against these goals on a regular basis. Develops training and action plans for employees who need help with sales performance.5)Provides feedback to Merchandising Department on recommended styles, sizes and brands to meet customer expectations and sales goals.6)Maintains effective relationships with tour companies; travel agents, and travel-related partners.CUSTOMER SERVICE1)Establishes and implements guidelines for the highest possible level of customer service in the store.2)Creates an environment in the store that provides the customers with an exceptional shopping experience.PERSONNEL1)Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties and schedules to provide effective coverage and customer service while maintaining control on labor costs.2)Interviews potential employees for the store. Hires, counsels, and terminates employees as required.3)Manages labor scheduling for employees.4)Develops and implements training programs for all store employees. Assists in delivery of training programs as required.5)Maintains a professional image in appearance, is well groomed, and adheres to store’s uniform and grooming policy.6)Ensures employees are well groomed and dressed professionally and appropriately for his/her job function, and adheres to store’s uniform and grooming policy.OPERATIONS/ADMINISTRATION1)Assists Store Manager in monitoring all expenses of the store and ensuring that expenses remain in control and on budget.2)Assists in managing and controlling store cash status.3)Supervises functions and operations of the store, including sales and customer service, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records and preparing daily records of transactions.
4)Ensures compliance of all employees with established security, sales and record keeping procedures and practices. Ensures adherence to security procedures and security devices are functioning properly. Monitors shrinkage and adheres to established loss prevention procedures and practices.5)Shops the competition on a regular basis. Monitors market conditions overall.6)Ensures the safety and security of the store overall, including the safety of customers and employees. Trains employees in the use of security systems and procedures.7)Formally evaluates the performance of direct reports at least once each year.MERCHANDISING1)Ensures that all displays are well maintained and support the sales objectives for the product and the overall store.2)Ensures that the store is fully stocked with merchandise; works with Merchandising Department and Store Merchandisers to ensure quantities and types of merchandise are appropriate for the store.3)Ensures that the overall appearance of the interior and exterior of the store meets the standards of the company at all times.4)Ensures that all goods in the sales floor have been accurately checked in and priced.5)Assists in the coordination of sales promotion activities and prepares or directs the preparation of merchandising and displays.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESManages employees in the retail sales and store operations functions. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; counseling employees, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

·Two to four years of retail management experience.
·Proven sales ability required.LANGUAGE SKILLS·High level of verbal communication skills.
