Assistant Retail Store Manager - FT - Beechmont

Purpose:
The ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER performs the following duties:
Meets assigned sales performance and profitability criteria.
Assists with the hiring and development of retail store/kiosk staff.
Assists with the facilitation of goal setting, coaching, and performance evaluation of staff.
Facilitates and participates in weekly staff training/educational sessions to increase knowledge and create high levels of motivation.
Assists in establishing, implementing and monitoring a prospecting plan to increase sales.
Ensures store appearance meets company standards at all times.
Establishes and monitors store/kiosk work schedules and staffing issues to effectively manage payroll expenses.
Spends 75% of time on the sales floor to ensure efficient, courteous handling of customer requests, including sales, billing/service problem resolution, bill payments and technical troubleshooting.
Resolves customer concerns requiring the attention of a management position.
Verifies accuracy of daily service revenue reports and bank deposits.
Maintains proper inventory controls, facilitates inventory transactions and maintains compliance with Cingular Wireless store standards.
Ensures store/kiosk is opened and closed appropriately by following standard procedures.
Assists store manager as needed, taking lead on special projects/assignments.



QUALIFICATIONS:

2-4 years sales experience, including prospecting, telemarketing and/or outside sales.
2 years sales leadership/supervisory experience in the telecommunications and/or retail industry.
Well developed planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication, leadership, and presentation skills. Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends and holidays.
Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier and fax.
Ability to work at multiple locations within district preferred. Familiarity with wireless terminology and Cingular Wireless systems preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
