Park Hyatt Washington, D.C. invites you to join an incredible project to reposition the hotel with its cutting edge design and genuine hospitality. The hotel reopens in June 2006 after a complete closure and dramatic $24 million redesign by New York-based visionary designer Tony Chi. Classic American themes pair with modern, contemporary style in the "reconcepted" property, welcoming clientele from around the world to our nation's capital.



The Assistant Banquet Chef will work directly with the Banquet Chef to ensure successful banquet operation in accordance with the brand standards of the hotel and company. Overall responsibilities include producing a consistent quality product to meet and exceed guests' needs in a timely manner; daily monitoring of food production, quality and consistency, leadership of personnel, department training and other duties as assigned or required.



As part of the hotel re-launch, the Assistant Banquet Chef, working closely with the Banquet Chef will recruit, train and develop new team members, establish policies and procedures, purchase operating equipment and implement marketing strategies. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong customer service, leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills; refined and professional communication, presentation and mannerisms; and the ability to multi-task while maintaining close attention to detail. Hotel industry experience is not required. Previous experience in the luxury industry, a second language and geographic mobility preferred.
