The appointment clerk’s primary role is to schedule delivery appointments. This includes communicating with customers via phone, fax, email, and Internet. An appointment clerk serves as the link between our operations personnel, customers, and carriers. Ideal candidates must be hard working, reliable, and possess the necessary drive to fulfill a set quota. Must have the technological skills to solve minor logistics challenges, assist in finding the most efficient way to move freight and support current employees in their daily challenges.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Operations Personnel
Customer interaction via telephone, email, etc
Schedule delivery appointments
Minor problem solving
DIRECTION OF OTHERS:
Assist in training new employees
Maintain a positive attitude
Teamwork a must
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of Microsoft Applications
Typing skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment
Detail Oriented
25-29 hours/week, 1st shift 7:00 am - 12:00 noon, 2nd shift 12:00 noon - 5:00 pm. Must be available during either of these shifts.
