Application Support Specialist

Provides all level of production support activities for internally designed/developed and 3rd party application systems under the guidance of the team leader.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSMeets all specific annual goals based on department and corporate goals and objectives.Assists in documenting user requirements, primarily for 3rd party application systems. Coordi-nates activities with other QA team members when applicable.
Assists in the planning, testing, implementation documentation, promotion to production, main-tenance, and support of 3rd party and internally developed application systems.Assists in any required support for the systems test environments.Assists in safeguarding and supporting the BankAtlantic production systems environmentAssist senior team members and supervisory personnel in accomplishing production support ob-jectives.
Remains current on and complies to all Bank and Department policies and procedures.Perform daily PMIs. Develop new PMIs based upon technology introduced and to address ongo-ing issues.Consistently renders exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have:A+ and/or MCSE/CNE preferred. Associates degree in Computer Science,Information Technology or a business-related field. Application Certifications are a plus.Two+ years of systems experience with exposure to financial systems and banking or fi-nancial services operations. Systems analysis, 3rd party product evaluation, and vendor management experience is also a plus.
Familiarity with microcomputer operating systems, hardware, networking, programming lan-guages, database management systems, and systems software.Familiarity with the systems development lifecycle methodology.Exposure to 3rd party applications.Strong analytical and problem management skills, which will help in problem solvingExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work with all levels in the organizationFamiliarity with change management discipline.
