Advertising Telephone Sales Manager

Orlando Sentinel Communications is seeking candidates for:

Advertising Telephone Sales Manager, General Classified

Acts as manager of the Classified Division of the Advertising Department of the Sentinel Communications Company and is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the strategies and plans necessary to accomplish the lineage, revenue, market share and expense management goals set forth in the strategic and operating plans of the Classified Division, Tribune Interactive and the Advertising Department. Responsible for Classified Display Sales, Telephone Sales, Legal Advertising and Sentinel Values.
REQUIREMENTS
· Typically requires 8 to 10 years’ experience in advertising sales including 3 to 5 years’ sales management experience with an increasing level of responsibility at a newspaper organization of similar or larger size.

· Should possess a broad knowledge of a call center environment, Classified system technology, sales and telemarketing.

· Strong communication, organizational, planning, managerial, project management and decision-making skills are required.

· Knowledge of industry trends, new technologies and product development.

· The ability to associate and communicate effectively with all levels of management within the company and the business community.

· Excellent business instincts and judgement are required. Must be able to travel on company business.

· Should have at least an undergraduate degree in Advertising, Communications or Business or have equivalent related experience.
