Account Manager ~ Experiential Marketing Opportunity

Passage Events, a national leader in targeted event marketing services is looking for an Account Manager with a mix of quantitative and very creative marketing skills to manage all aspects of our fortune 500 client’s program within an assigned territory. The primary responsibility of the Account Manager is to research, plan, present and manage strategic event promotional opportunities and programs consistent with local marketing plans.


As an Account Manager, you will work with assigned client contacts by researching, negotiating, presenting, proposing and selecting event opportunities to bring local and regional relevance to established national promotional programs. Constant communication with event producers, venues and research is required. Additionally, you will work with your assigned client contacts in targeted geographic markets to develop, present and negotiate alternative event promotion opportunities unique to their local area in an effort to supplement national programs. During the course of the promotions, you’ll have constant weekly communications with assigned client contacts and field operations management to reconcile and balance the promotion goals and expenses based on targets and budgets set at the launch of the program. The Account Manager reports to the Account Executive in his or her region and works within a team environment and works out of our regional office.


Abbreviated list of requirements:
College degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field is strongly preferred.
Minimum of two years product, project or account management experience is required, prefer 4+ years.
Experience in hiring and/or contracting as well as assessing performance of staff or contractors is required.
Resourcefulness, problem solving, initiative and self-reliance is critical
Must be proficient with a PC and have at least intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Must be organized, detail-oriented and possess strong interpersonal skills
Must be flexible, outgoing, goal-oriented, be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be a quick learner
Must be able to work with diverse groups of individuals in sometimes stressful environments
Must possess strong oral and written communication skills as well as have excellent time management skills
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds (due to work in the field at events)
Must be able to stand for long periods of time during events
Travel up to 30% of the time may be required (including evening, weekend and holiday work)
