ACTIVITIES –Full Time

The Activity Assistant will provide quality social, recreational & intellectual programs for our senior, resort style, retirement community.
Experience with senior population is necessary and previous
Assisted Living programming helpful. You will assist the Activity Director in planning events and introducing programs, speakers and entertainment when necessary. You will be involved in coordinating birthday parties, outings and other resident functions in the building.

REQUIREMENTS
Interpersonal skills are necessary and the ability to work with senior citizens with patience, empathy, compassion and understanding. Organizational skills are necessary along with the ability to effectively communicate in English, to explain and instruct residents in various situations. You need to be able to work independently with little or no supervision, planning and organizing your workload and work within time restrictions and meet deadlines.
Previous experience in the health or social services field is helpful.
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and you must be able to physically assist residents. Your schedule will include partial weekends, evenings, holidays and some overtime.

Background screening and drug testing is required upon offer of employment.
