I am currently recruiting for a Web Development position for a leading Digital Media Company in Seattle. Our Client is actively seeking a skilled Java/JSP Web Developer for it's Video Services team. This role would be working hands-on with existing sites as well as several yet to be deployed sites, developing them in an existing Java architecture and interfacing with a Content Management System. The successful candidate will work closely with a small group of Developers and creating websites from design mockups and specs. This successful candidate must be a self-motivated worker with a passion to create complex websites while still meeting project timelines. About Our ClientThis is a very large and successful Global Leader in Multimedia eCommerce that supplies Internet Media delivery.They develop and market software products and services designed to enable users of personal computers and consumer electronic devices to send and receive audio, video, games and other multimedia services using the Web.

This is an estimated 6-12 month contract position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.


Requirements:



Top QA skills:
JSP
CSS, HTML
ASP, PHP
Java architecture, JSTL, Hibernate, Struts.


Required:
3+ years JSP/JAVA or equivalent experience in developing large scale consumer websites
3+ years general web programming including hand-coded HTML, CSS, Javascript and backend experience
Ability to handle simultaneous projects with minimal supervision
An understanding of XML


Nice to have:
It would be nice if this Web Dev had Photoshop or design skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Some design experience
Experience with Tomcat
Experience with Struts, Hibernate or a similar JAVA/JSP platform
