Provide technical leadership in the architecture, design, development, testing, documentation and deployment of efficient and effective data-intensive commercial products and supporting systems.
Plan, organize, lead and drive web-based architecture strategies and approaches for large scale product development initiatives to successful completion.
Lead system engineers, data architects and other development resources by example through high performance productivity, complex problem solving, application architecture best practices, attention to detail, accountability, creativity and an obsession for consistently high quality deliverables.
Function as the technical architecture point-of-reference for the project teams - provide expert guidance and mentoring.
Work at highest technical advisory level on the most difficult analysis, architecture and design assignments.
Act as a resource in helping each of the business teams to quickly move products and applications to market - Actively participate in product roadmap strategy, business needs assessment and technical architecture sessions.
Work with the data architecture team members and development team leaders to design a flexible framework to deliver new products and supporting systems from.
Work with business/systems analysts to create and/or refine technical requirements and specifications.
Work with all software product development stakeholders to streamline product development process and cycle times.
Develop level-of-effort estimates for new initiatives and determine time-to-milestone completion estimates.
Conduct technical architecture proof-of-concept initiatives and determine technical feasibility of product concepts as required.
Provide significant contribution to product suite/platform architecture development methodologies and associated process improvements.
Anticipate, monitor and track emerging technology trends, approaches and associated solutions.
Provide specific technical architecture leadership across the company and/or within the external computing industry.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
7+ years of software architecture and engineering experience with progressively greater responsibility and expanding range of technical expertise
Proven successful track record of delivering Internet standards-based three/four tier commercial products.
Demonstrated expert level knowledge in SOA and supporting web services, pattern-based, object oriented .NET architecture, design and programming techniques (additional J2EE experience is desirable).
Expert tool-based architecture modeling capabilities.
Strong knowledge in all aspects of the SDLC, experience with agile and/or RUP approaches desirable.
Solid knowledge of C#, XML, HTML and SQL.
Experience with business intelligence solutions, ETL tools, Biztalk, and SQL Server 2005 desirable.
Ability to handle tasks of high complexity and risk.
Ability in operate in a consultative manner through effective influence through the creation of fact-based analysis and recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as work in and contribute to a team environment.
Strong technical writing, verbal communication and presentation skills.
Healthcare experience preferred.
