VoIP/IPT Sr. Consultant or Manager
This individual will be responsible for architecture, design, integration, and implementation of VoIP/IPT solutions in service provider and/or enterprise environment. This individual is expected to lead current and future VoIP/IPT projects. This individual will be supporting the project team in development of statement of work, project proposals, one-on-one and group interactions with clients, preparation and delivery of executive presentations, facilitation of technical workshops and interviews. Other responsibilities include development/execution of test strategies and test plans, implementation of VoIP/IPT network infrastructure equipment (Softswitch, Gateways, Application servers, and Media servers) at client locations. The individual will work in a team environment with minimal supervision.Job Requirements:Â
Degree in Computer Science, MS or advance degree preferableÂ
A minimum of 7 years professional working experience with service provider and/or enterprise voice network architecture/design, implementationÂ
A minimum of 5 years professional working experience with Service Provider telephony networks, protocols (ISUP, SS7, ISDN, AIN), and features (Residential, E911, CALEA)Â
A minimum of 5 years professional working experience with Softswitch Architecture, Enterprise IP Telephony, IP PBX/Centrex and FeaturesÂ
A minimum of 5 years professional working experience with Networking technologies (IP, MPLS, Routing, Switching, VPN, IPSec, Ethernet), Capacity planning, and Traffic EngineeringÂ
A minimum of 5 years professional working experience with VoIP protocols (SIP, MGCP, H.323), TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, VLAN, QoSÂ
A minimum of 3 years professional working experience with TMN, TMF/CORBA, eTOM, SNMPv2/v3Â
A minimum of 3 years professional working experience managing large projects (more than 5 people with 6 or months of duration)Â
A minimum of two years professional working experience making client presentations and interacting with customersÂ
At least one year professional working experience in Cisco AVVID, Call Manager, Gatekeeper, GatewaysÂ
Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituenciesÂ
Strong customer orientationÂ
Strong problem solving, organization skillsÂ
Ability to multi-task with minimal guidanceÂ
Willingness to work out of various client locationsÂ
Ability to travel 75-100% M-ThDesirable:Â
At least one year professional working experience in Nortel/Siemens/Sonus/Lucent/Avaya VoIP/IPT Products/solutionsÂ
At least one year professional working experience with testing of VoIP infrastructure Elements (Softswitch, Media Gateway, Application Servers)Â
At least one year professional working experience with building VoIP networks from the ground up (configuration and provisioning of VoIP infrastructure equipment)
