Job Description:
Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice offers companies professional transaction experience. We help clients determine the right deal to do, and then assist them in doing the deal right. Within TAS, Transaction Tax services encompass the strategic development and execution of a transaction structure from a tax perspective, including executing tax due diligence, challenging assumptions about future tax performance, and assisting with the tax aspect of purchase agreements, post-closing, and other transaction tax matters.
Within our Transaction Tax practice, the Center of Excellence (CoE) provides clients with assistance with respect to utilization of federal tax attributes, stock basis studies, earnings and profits analysis, and transaction cost analysis. We are currently seeking candidates for a career opportunity as a Senior within the CoE of Transaction Tax. The successful candidate must have general corporate tax experience in either tax consulting or tax compliance. Responsibilities: Perform Section 382 studies and related analysis. Work closely with clients to gather information and perform technical analysis. Manage many small and large projects simultaneously. Analyze consolidated return impact of study results. Perform E&P and stock basis studies and related analysis. Additional responsibilities may include creation and computation of financial models for the calculations of tax basis step-ups including 338 gross-ups, foreign tax credits and potential investments, as well as research and writing on various corporate tax technical issues.Ernst & Young LLP, an equal opportunity employer, values the diversity of our work force and the knowledge of our people.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: To qualify, candidates must have:
2-3 years of tax consulting or compliance experience a CPA or accounting degree Excellent supervisory and organizational skills Ability to interact with clients and practice leaders Willingness and ability to travel, when necessary
