Top Secret Project Manager, Systems Engineer

Individuals will be responsible for working with a large government client, working primarily out of a downtown DC client site location, with limited travel outside of the DC Metro area.Specialized experience includes: project development from inception to deployment, expertise in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms, demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity. General experience includes increasing responsibilities in information systems design and/or management. The Project Manager interfaces daily with federal client management.Project Manager must have excellent interpersonal and client communications skills, solid project management skills, and strong experience in managing system integration, testing, deployment, training, and operation of information systems processing classified and/or extremely sensitive information.Must have the ability to operate with little supervision on an aggressive timeline. Must be able to effectively communicate project status and proactively identify and report issues that impact project timelines or budget. Must be capable of creating deliverables, and mentoring team in support of deliverable preparation.Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility in assisting federal clients as a Project Management subject matter expert and liaison in the training of BearingPoint and client staff.Project Manager will be responsible for managing smaller projects or segments of larger projects. Project Manager must be able to develop, interpret and apply federal planning and programming guidance. Role has extensive contact with senior level leadership and the client. Requires proven project management skills. Supports practice development initiatives. Supervises, mentors career development, and reviews work of less experienced personnel.Responsibilities include resource assignment and management, project deployment planning and implementation, schedule management and reporting, reporting status of multiple projects on a weekly basis back to senior leadership, developing and processing all project documentation, and driving issues to resolution with minimal supervision.Requirements:

US Citizen, able to obtain a US Security Clearance

PMP Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related discipline. Advanced degree a plus, but not required.

Eight to twelve years of progressive and intensive experience in Federal Accounting project management

Must have demonstrated project management experience in a large federal consulting practice or government agency environment. Certifications such as CPA, PMP, CGFM are a large plus.
