Testing Engineer

(NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest Management and Technology Consulting companies dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.The BearingPoint PS Integration Solution Group is currently searching for a Testing Lead (Senior Consultant).Location/s: DC-WashingtonRelocation: NoDescription:The Test Engineer is responsible for executing tasks that aid the success of the testing effort. The Test Engineer will analyze functional and system requirements, create test cases, create test scenarios, execute test cases, monitor test results and report testing status. The Test Engineer is responsible for managing defects from identification through to closure.Responsibilities1. Develop test cases based on Functional and System Specifications, execute test cases
2. Implement automated testing where applicable
3. Define performance testing scripts, metrics and execution of scripts.
4. Assist Test Lead ensuring accurate test results are received.
5. Create Traceability Matrix, ensure all system requirements, features and functionalities are fully covered by test scenarios and scripts
6. Monitor and enforce test team record keeping – defect tracking, internal status reporting
7. Coordinate and facilitate meetings between test team and applicable development team members to identify and resolve defects identified by the test team
8. Identify, communicate and track issues related to product quality development & product management areas.
9. Support development staff in the further identification of the cause of the fault and assist with recreating problem scenarios when necessary.
10. Participate in presentations as needed to cover project status and test plan
11. Manage a defect life cycle systemRequirements:1. 3+ years Experience with Software Testing Tools (Mercury/Rational)
2. 2 years professional consulting experience
3. up 3 years Experience with Automation Testing
5. Excellent technical writing
6.
