**Current Opportunity: Analyst II, Technology Systems (Req.10566)

The PBS&J office in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Analyst to provide Customer Service Center System administration and manage the operation of CSC maintenance provider(s). Act as a technical resource on IT issues to TxDOT’s TTA Division. May be expected to provide experience on specialty areas such as network connectivity ad DB2.

Ensure that TxDOT initiatives and standards are achieved within scope of responsibility.

Administer network, provide moves, additions and changes to the CSC system.

Manage the operation of local server(s), troubleshoot and resolve performance/redundancy problems.

Serve as a resource to users, Webmaster, developers and Help Desk personnel, providing technical leadership and problem determination and resolution on a variety of IT issues.

Manage the CSC system reporting and monitoring.

Manages Java software development.

Manages IBM DB2 database development

Assist in migrating to new technologies.

Maintain and perform data backup/retrieval procedures.

Administer CSC maintenance contract management

May perform such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Occasional travel may be required.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, plus three years of experience in network/system administration. Experience may be substituted for college on a one to one basis.

Proficiency in IBM DB2, Websphere products.

Experience with Java language and software development.

MCSE preferred.

Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
