Our Firm reviews all elements of our clients' sales and use tax transactions and ensures that no issue is left on the table. Our typical clients are Fortune 1000 companies that have numerous transactions, complicated accounting systems, and complex issues.The Sales and Use Tax Senior Manager (“Senior Manager”) leads a team of consultants to identify tax savings opportunities for clients. The Senior Manager also maintains existing client relationships and focuses on state & local tax recovery. This includes researching tax issues, reconciling databases, and completing detailed calculations.Manages complex state & local tax projects, including audit defense, managed audits, managed compliance, reverse audits, and tax recovery.
Develops client workplans, and schedules associated project deliverables.
Prepares and conducts client presentations.
Travels to client locations to gather and copy tax returns, invoices, purchase orders, and other documentation to use in the audit refund process.
Reviews and reconciles client data downloads and identifies tax issues to research.
Assists with client billing and financial forecasting.
Negotiates tax resolutions with state agencies.
Responds to client inquiries and requests from state agencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting and/or Finance and six to eight years audit or tax related experience.
