Student Assistance Program Counselor

Chittenden South Supervisory Union is seeking a full-time Student Assistant Program Counselor to work as part of a dynamic team at Williston Central School & Hinesburg Community School.

Responsibilities include -

Identifying and intervening with students affected by substance use; facilitating counseling and support groups; meeting with families about referrals to treatment agencies; and delivering classroom and parent presentations.

Successful candidates should have excellent communication and presentation skills and be comfortable working as part of a team.

Experience in a school environment and knowledge about the treatment community a plus.

Salary range is $32,000 to $42,000 per year, plus full benefits.

Start date is late August.
