This position will include the following duties:

- preparing detailed structural design for buildings and
constructed facilities.
- interpreting architectural and HVAC plans for structural
requirements.
- detailed layout work for structural plans based on information taken
from architectural plans.
- reviewing and correcting shop drawings for structural components.
- making site visits to review and document buildings under construction.
- establishing and maintaining design standards.
- checking cad work for errors prior to sending outside the office.
- working with clients to meet their specific goals.

REQUIREMENTS
Structural Design Engineer

We are a well established firm with a solid reputation.
We were founded in 1989 and have completed projects in Indiana
and most surrounding states.

To be successful in this position will require the following skills and abilities:

- a minimum of five years experience working directly for a structural engineering consulting firm.
- a working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- an understanding of the structural components of buildings.
- an understanding of architectural plans and details.
- an understanding of current building codes.
- an ability to work without extensive supervision.
- a willingness to work toward meeting deadlines as required by each project.
- a desire to advance and accept new responsibility.
- a willingness to learn new technologies as they emerge.
- the ability to work within a team to achieve project goals.
- the ability to work as an individual to achieve personal goals.
- the ability to communicate within a team.
- the ability to understand and use advanced structural engineering analysis and design programs such as Ram Steel and STAAD Pro.
