Job Description:
The Americas Strategy Group is an internal “strategy consulting” group that assists the leaders of the Americas Practice of EY in developing and implementing strategy as well as analyzing key business issues. Our primary client is the Americas Executive Board, which consists of the senior leaders of the Americas firm. Our projects include a wide variety of areas, including market analysis (i.e., regulatory, competitive, economic), range of services, market segmentation and go to market, operational alignment, risk management, balanced scorecard development and measurement, and other items of strategic and operational importance to the firm. The Americas Strategy Group is seeking a senior strategy consultant to join our team. Responsibilities: This position will play a critical role in identifying and advising the senior leaders of EY on opportunities and issues of strategic and operational importance. This professional will work directly with the Director of Americas Strategy to determine the appropriate scope of work for the group and lead major projects that assist in the development of strategic initiatives for the firm. This professional will lead cross-functional project teams, with responsibility for project execution, client service and quality of final deliverables. This role will also be critical in enhancing the strategy group’s effectiveness by developing and implementing best practices. This professional will have significant responsibility for the day to day management of the strategy project team (6 to 8 professionals), including career development and mentoring.Ernst & Young LLP, an equal opportunity employer, values the diversity of our work force and the knowledge of our people.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: - 8+ years of experience, with a significant portion in management consulting or corporate strategy for a large organization - Bachelors degree required, MBA strongly preferred - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Highly seasoned project management skills, with experience leading cross functional teams - Strong executive presence, with facilitation skills a plus - Exceptional written and oral communications skills (including presentations), as well as listening and interpretation skills - Excellent people management skills, with an intense focus on the firm’s culture and values - Comfort in a rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting priorities - Ability to work well in a team environment - High degree of professionalism and integrity - High energy and results oriented
