Storage Engineer

Our client in Raritan, NJ has an immediate requirement for a Storage Engineer as follows:

Deploys, configures, maintains, & documents enterprise storage area network components. Designs and provisions storage to systems as required. Through rotational standby support, responds to failure and alert event notifications 24 x 7 to ensure capacity demands. Responds to customer incident management tickets related to storage capacity, performance, access, configurations modifications, etc.

Monitors, escalates, and remediates SAN device/application {access, performance, event} alerts to identify/ potential incidents. Escalates and follows incidents with senior management and other client agencies to ensure capacity management, data storage integrity, and performance service level objectives are met.

Participates in design and deployment of storage requirements for enterprise applications.

Ensures capacity planning, performance & SAN connectivity are available and prepares, schedules and documents storage assignments with system administrators, related infrastructure teams and management staff through a regulatory change management system and other documentation. This ensures management and system administrators, prior to implementation, review all changes and that sufficient planning and documentation have been accomplished.
