Responsibilities

30% Development Projects – Works with the tech lead, manager and/or business to understand business requirements and objectives; researches technical solutions, participates in design discussions, provides project estimates; develops application solutions. Is responsible for object design, coding, unit testing, debugging, and documenting assigned projects. Works through technical problems ('bugs'). Acts independently under general or no direction.

60% Team/Technical Support – Daily support of core Ecometry application utilized through all aspects of business. Daily support of corporate Datamart utilizing Brio and Cognos toolsets for analysis. May be asked to act in a Lead role to coordinate some aspects of a small project. Provides and creates documentation on application solutions for operations and support. Suggests paths to explore when quality assurance analysts or other developers encounter a debugging problem.

10% Administration – Documents time expended and costs associated with various work efforts. Participates in staff and project meetings. Documents processes as they are created and/or modified. Prepare weekly status reports for manager.
REQUIREMENTS
Required:5+ years development experience.
Strong Analytical skills
Strong Unit Testing skills
Relational Database experience (Oracle, DB2 UDB, or equivalent)
SQL skillsPreferred:MF Experience
HP3000 experience
Adabas/Natural
Ecometry application experience
Unix skills (general, shell scripting)
PL/SQL or DB2 SQL
Brio, Cognos, or equivalent reporting tool
Experience with large databases
Data Modelling
OO programming experience
