Sr. Staff Consultant - Network System Analysis

This position is responsible for managing FSG service requests that require network design and engineering solutions. This includes:



•Evaluation of the Service Request and the resulting design solution to determine which vendors to engage for quotes, detail and implementation.


•Completion of an internal costing document that includes all required components (HW, SW, Circuits, headcount, diagrams, etc).


•Creation of a project plan for use in the creation of the statement of work and for managing and tracking the implementation of the accepted design.


•Coordination with internal and customer contacts to ensure pricing and implementation are completed as required.


•Management of assigned projects to completion.


•Meetings with the customer to ensure Service Request commitments are met.


•Facilitation of both customer and internal meetings as required completing Service Request costing and projects.


•Timely status reporting in the Service Request tracking tool.


•Backup to other team members as required.


•Provide marketing and consulting support services for the commercial environment.


•Serve as a project leader to develop detailed plans for major customer projects, including assembling the necessary team to ensure project success.


•Analyze and report weekly status covering risks, resources and schedule.


REQUIREMENTS
•5 or more years of experience in Project Management.


•Extensive Microsoft Project Application knowledge.


•Strong financial background.


•Excellent Microsoft project skills.


•5 or more years of experience working with ATM networks, modem, CSU/DSU, MUX and protocol WAN/LAN.


•Familiarity with Cisco products and services.


•Familiarity with circuit providers and provisioning.


•Strong interpersonal skills.


•Excellent oral and written communication skills.


•Must be self motivated with excellent analytical skills.


•Excellent customer care skills.


•Strong knowledge/experience with RFP’s.


•Proficient with the use of Excel & Visio.


•Familiarity with Remedy.


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


•Project Management Certification desirable.


•Project Management Training (Certification preferred).




ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


•Willing to travel and work overtime as needed.
