Sr. Site Investigation & Remediation Engineer

Learn more about us at www.erm.com.Description:ERM seeks a senior environmental project manager with expertise in Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) consulting with specific emphasis on soil and groundwater remediation technologies, systems, and operations (reactive barrier walls, soil vapor extraction, in-situ chemical oxidation, phyto-remediation, excavation capping, and bioremediation). This position will focus on project management for risk-based analysis, remediation, and mitigation projects. Responsibilities will include:Designing, developing and implementing SIR investigations and remediation projects to address soil and groundwater contamination issues.
Managing large field sampling and construction oversight teams.
Working directly with clients to apply risk-based corrective action strategies
Contributing toward SIR business development activities involving the proposal process, client relationship management, cross-selling of ERM services to existing clients, and industry networking to identify potential clients.
Requirements:BS Degree (MSc preferred) in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
5-8 years of SIR consulting experience, including project/task management specific to budget/schedule control.
Expertise with Ohio Voluntary Action Program, CERCLA, RCRA, etc.
Understanding of the US regulatory environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills specific to internet research, spreadsheet and database applications, as well as standard industry technologies.
Flexibility to handle multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines, and availability to travel as needed to project sites throughout the region.
Professional registration (PE) in Ohio, a strong plus.
