Sr. Project Engineer - Energy Efficiency

Summary Description
Lockheed Martin Aspen is launching a program initiative in the Bay Area to promote production and energy efficiency within large, industrial plants and facilities. Individual will visit customer sites to determine customer's technical and production requirements, identify and evaluate energy saving opportunities, and provide recommendations to improve preformance in system equipment, industrial processes, and operations.

Essential duties and responsibilities
Support marketing staff in promotion of the program; coordination of education and skill development of other project engineers on the latest technologies and process applications, maintain and enhance technical competence on products and solutions using other available resources as required; Conduct job walks at client facilities; prepare energy assessment studies; research the latest, available technologies for focused industries; obtain performance and capacity ratings on all new and existing equipment; Complete engineering calculations due to energy savings and process improvement recommendations; select mechanical, electrical, and controls equipment for proposed energy projects; prepare scope of work, cost estimates and engineering economic studies for proposed energy projects; serve as a contact point for the customer during the implementation and completion of the defined project opportunities; work with other field engineers, contract specialists and account executives; Meet and continuously exceed customer expectations.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
- Bachelors of science degree in the field of Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with related Masters degree. 2 years or more of technical sales or consulting experience preferred.
- EIT, CEM and/or P.E. licensed preferred
- Ability to perform and complete engineering calculations utilizing spreadsheet software applications and various engineering computer programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide reports and presentations.
