Sr. Network Consultant

This position is responsible for setting strategic direction of enterprise network infrastructure for a corporation with over 1500 locations accross a national scopt; The selected individual will insure that Network infrastructure certifications and system standards are in line with business goals and objectives, follow industry specifications, and are documented and communicated to the Corporate population.

This candidate will be required to work in a vast network of over 4000 network devices supporting 15,000+ end users. The candidate will be responsible for projects of > $5,000,000 in magnitude working with a project team comprising many different disciplines. This level will require the candidate to provide technical leadership to the project team. This position will require presentation skills to the most senior level of National City Corporation. This position will also be responsible for insuring governance of network components within the budgetary cycle to insure proper technology refresh occurs as items are terminated from the depreciation schedule. Excellent technical accounting skills are required. This position is the most senior position within this group and requires the individual to develop peers' and junior staff members' knowledge base.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications

oEight + years industry experience including Enterprise Network system integration and infrastructure design within a corporate IT environment following a project life cycle methodology
oExtensive experience with communication requirements for enterprise class financial systems/applications.
oExperience with vendor management, and negotiation with contracts for LEC, CLEC, IXC, etc.
oHigh degree of technical depth (ability to design and implement small, low-to-medium complexity, and high complexity enterprise infrastructures) with Networking protocols, Network Hardware (preferably Cisco), and LAN/WAN/MAN technologies. Experience with Mainframe, Client Server, and Workstation a plus.
oTechnical hands-on implementation experience delivering small and large, departmental/Enterprise projects (>$5MM) for business departments and/or organizations.
oExcellent written and verbal communication skills
oLeadership and strong interpersonal skills; results-driven, team player
oCreative problem solving and analytical skills,
oBachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering required. (Additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree considered.)
