Augment the customer’s technical staff by acting as a direct resource for supporting professional services offerings. This position will support engagements for an amount of time requested by the Customer to perform specific tasks or functions as outlined in a Professional Services proposal Scope of Work. Position will require off-hour and weekend work on occasion as well as on call availability 24x7. Activities are self determined and involve the assessment and resolution of complex problems at the project/functional level and may lead solutions impacting more than one project at the customer level. Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Having wide-ranging experience, deals with problems, which require a broad knowledge of one or more products or processes. May be responsible for a significant portion or entire lifecycle of multiple projects and/or process design. Provides estimation of time and effort required to implement projects or assignments. Ability to convert requirements into an actionable scope of work and requirements document including proof of concept. Ability to consult, assess or audit, design and interview customers to determine highly technical requirements. Able to provide primary input on strategy and content for RFx responses and Customer requests for services. Additional responsibilities include support of product demonstrations and trial activities at Tellabs and Customer locations.
REQUIREMENTS
Years of Experience: 11+ yearsEducation: Bachelors DegreeQualifications: Industry expertise with multiple major vendors of networking equipment that support services similar to the Tellabs products. Expert project management skills with complimentary business management skills. Has had extensive customer relationship experience and demonstrates excellent customer services skills through issue resolution and proposed solutions. Has and applies extensive functional and project experience, is a recognized expert by both internal and external customers. Recognized as a subject matter expert in a product area and provides technical ownership. Demonstrates business acumen, refined communication skills and solid presentation skills. Ability to apply knowledge in necessary applications and on applicable Tellabs products. Knowledge application and transfer of 3rd party vendor products when applicable. Working knowledge of BGP4, OSPF, Integrated IS-IS, IP, MPLS, Ethernet, PPP, SONET/SDH, WDM, Frame Relay and ATM.
