Sr. Consultant, ZMF

The agency was established to administer the TSP (Thrift Savings Plan). The agency is part of the Executive Branch. The agency has designed and partially implemented Serena's Change Governance model. The agency is using the following Serena products VM, ZMF, TT, and RTM. Phase 2 of the engagement is to extent the use of TT workflows further within the agency, refine requirements processes and provide mentoring, product and process support to the agencies development, operations and user organizations.
REQUIREMENTS
SPECIFIC AREAS OF QUALIFICATION
*General understanding of practical usage of Software Change Management (SCM) policies, procedures and practices, Release Management and Software Distribution issues.
*Knowledge of various version control tools (ChangeMan ZMF, CA Endevor, etc.)
*Proficient communication skills across all levels of the IT environment.*Must be self-sufficient, highly self-reliant, self-starting, highly comfortable working both as a member of a team, as well as occasionally isolated as a team of one.
*Must be willing to travel.
*Prior consulting experience, project management experience, planning experience, and willingness to teach.
MAINFRAME SYSTEMS
*3-6 years programming experience in MVS applications.
*Experience with MVS, TSO/ISPF, JES2, and/or JES3, JCL, VSAM, and IBM utilities.
*Expereince with mainframe security systems (RACF, ACF 2, Top Secret, etc.)
*Expertise writing and customizing panels, skeletons, and exits.
*Familiarity with Application Development practices and activities, including an understanding of software compile/translation functions, software module interrelationships (Copybooks and Source), and development and other test environment configuration characteristics and processing requirements.
*Exposure to and/or knowledge of DB2, IMS, CICS, and other application development and ISPF tools.
