job description ResponsibilitiesMinimum Quals: The Lead Retail Consultant (LRC) is a leadership position within the Sprint Nextel Retail Store. The LRC performs inside sales and provides service to new and existing customers. The LRC is also responsible for assisting store management in the day-to-day operations of the store as well as mentoring Retail Sales Consultants (RC) in sales and customer service processes. The LRC is empowered to make management decisions consistent with company policy in the absence of other management. The LRC assists customers through the purchasing decision, activations process, and educating them on their new purchase. Other LRC duties include performing customer credit reviews, building customer accounts in the billing system, and educating customers about their account. The LRC partners with the Retail Store Host to facilitate customer contact and timely service. The LRC always acts within the best interest of the Company by following established policy and procedure.Sales & Marketing:• Achieves/exceeds a monthly sales quota.• Understands and executes the Sprint consultative Sales Model and creates a sales experience consistent with the Model.• Achieves monthly CSAT objectives by effectively handling customer services issues and escalations.• Drives additional sales through customer follow up and referral based selling.• Assists in the development of a marketing plan that may include outside events, outbound marketing, and inside sales opportunities.• Tracks and maintains a customer database for the purpose of commission payments.• Trains and coaches store employees in daily duties related to sales and customer service.Products and Services:• Develops a thorough knowledge of products, pricing and services offered by Sprint Nextel.• Ability to make qualified recommendations to assist customers with purchasing decisions.• Understands the features and operations of devices offered and able to educate the customer in their operation. .• Maintains knowledge of new or revised methods and procedures as products and systems change.• Ability to execute and train others on the process to activate the devices offered by Sprint Nextel.• Drives add-on sales by offering and recommending Accessories, Vision data services, wire line products, and other applicable attachments.Store Operations:• Assists store management in the opening and closing of the Retail Store.• Ensures that the store’s overall appearance is kept neat and clean for customers.• Merchandises the store in a manner consistent with Sprint Planogram guidelines.• Ensures that sales and service literature is merchandised accordingly and available to customers.• Demonstrates professional and ethical behavior in dealings with customers and employees.• Reports any breach of company policy to the proper management.• Ensures adherence to company loss prevention guidelines in the protection of company assets.• Reports to work and in position as established by the Store Manager issued schedule. Cash/Asset Management:• Maintains control of assigned cash drawer and operates within company guidelines.• Balances and reconciles cash drawer on a daily basis as defined by company policy.• Processes payments for service, equipment and accessory purchases.• Assists customers with warranty issues and exchanges.• Completes customer returns in a manner consistent with company methods and procedures.• Ensures that store inventory is processed through the point of sale system.
