Job Description:
The Information Security Architecture design, develop, implement, communicate, and monitor information security architecture technologies, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and construction of architectural information security solutions to facilitate the implementation of appropriate security measures into Ernst & Young's systems and products.Provide clients, management and staff members with a high level of technical expertise and support in risk assessment and implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products.Identify regulatory changes that will affect information security policy, standards, and procedures, and recommend appropriate changes.Provide assistance and training to information security architecture staff members.Lead the monitoring and evaluation of systems and procedures to protect the data systems and databases from unauthorized users.Identify and determine causes of security violations and recommend corrective actions to ensure data security.Provide security-related data to the technology budget process. Responsible for the continual upgrading of procedures and equipment to maintain currency with technological progress, economic change, and business needs. Responsible for the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of information security plans, products, controls, standards, policies, and procedures to cost-effectively protect information system assets, such as data systems and databases, from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction. Provide strategic direction regarding infrastructure security, strategy, and tactics. Participate in establishing E&Y's strategic information security vision, and develop communications and marketing plans for information security initiatives to raise security awareness. Manage the security and connectivity initiatives of internal and external clients, domestically and internationally, and work to architect secure connectivity solutions. Provide clients, management, and its staff members with the highest level of technical expertise, guidance, support, and strategic and tactical direction with respect to the physical protection and risk assessment of the firm's information systems and products, implementation of appropriate data security procedures and products, and communication of existing, modified, or new security procedures to users. Maintain an awareness of existing and proposed security standard setting groups, and State and Federal legislation and regulations pertaining to information security. Communicate relevant information to appropriate management; identify regulatory changes that will affect information security policy, standards, and procedures; recommend appropriate changes; and communicate existing, proposed, and new security procedures to users.Ernst & Young LLP, an equal opportunity employer, values the diversity of our work force and the knowledge of our people.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: The incumbent of this position must have:Education:
a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience advanced degree preferred
Experience:
approximately 5+ years of experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, network protocols, systems architecture methodologies, management, and tracking/analyzing budgets Skills: - extensive knowledge of systems architecture - strong judgment and analytical ability - excellent management, interpersonal, communication, consultative, and organizational skills - the ability to work and team effectively with clients and other management personnel
