Soils Tech

Purpose: We are looking for an experienced Soils Technician for a full time position in Bakersfield, Ca. Candidate MUST be nuclear gauge certified and have at least two years of experience.

Position Duties:
* Conduct basic field density and moisture testing of compacted fill and asphalt
* Prepare written documentation of test results and daily activities
* Interface effectively with contractors and clients

Position Requirements:
* High School diploma (Associates degree preferred)
* Good communication, math (computational) and observational skills (written/verbal)
* Ability to lift 75 pounds, walk long distances quickly, operate hand-controlled testing equipment and read maps and plans
* Provide own vehicle for off-road use
* Desire to work out-of-doors for full days

Compensation:
$15-22 Hour
