Software Support Engineer

iNOC is a growing IT services company that specializes in providing Network Operations Center (NOC) services to Enterprises and Carriers. We are seeking a professional Software Support Engineer for a full-time permanent position. The Software Support Engineer position is available immediately. Responsibilities Software Support Engineer's key responsibilities will include:Working closely with Sales, Engineering and the Network Operations Center (NOC) to establish network monitoring service for new customers.Understanding the entire process and helping stream-line the workflow.Developing and maintaining tools and scripts to automation portions of the process.Report development and web application development.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements for the Software Support Engineer position are as follows:Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent work experienceThree to Five years experience working in an Information Technology (IT) Operations and Development environmentStrong understanding of process and proceduresAbility to identify repeatable tasks and develop tools to automate themScript writing experience essential - Perl, Bash, and KSH. (Perl is required; Bash and KSH are beneficial)Experience developing reports with 3rd party products is beneficial (Crystal Reports, Jasper Reports etc)Previous experience with Web 2.0 technologies is a plus (AJAX, JASON)Knowledge of ITIL Framework a plusVersioning Tool experience- CVS, TLALinux and UNIX experienceNetworking experience is a plusStrong problem solving skillsSelf-starter with good work ethicEye for detail and accuracy very importantTeam Player who works well with othersExcellent communication & documentation skillsProfessional appearance and attitude, positive, friendly personality Location and Work Schedule: The Software Support Engineer position will work out of our Madison, Wisconsin location.
