Software Engineer, Toolset Development - MediaFLO

Job Area: Information Technology

Role: Responsible for the design, analysis, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of web-based applications.
Additional responsibilities will include implementing development best practices, interacting with external business areas, technical product evaluation and recommendation, documentation and support of all departmental initiatives.
Maintains knowledge of software tools, languages, development methodologies and technical trends.
Troubleshoots, supports, and monitors various production applications. REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Experience: Conducts all aspects of the systems lifecycle including design, analysis, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of web-based applications.
3-5 years of software development experience.
Solid knowledge of J2EE & SOA technologies including experience with JSP, JSF, Servlets, JMS, Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, XML and Web Services.
Experience with user interface design including HTML, CSS, and Java script required.
Outstanding troubleshooting and problem solving skills required.
Experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
UNIX and Windows Operating System Experience required.

Additional Skills: Experience with Oracle database technologies, SQL, PL/SQL tools
Experience with various versions software, testing software.
Knowledge of user interface design and human factors desirable.
Experience with custom applications and packaged system life cycle methodologies.
Must be self-starter, yet work effectively on a team.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
