Software Engineer
1. Utilize advanced programming skills to develop high quality tools, reports, and systems used in all aspects of Formulary Maintenance.2. Utilize Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, Excel, as well as other tools, to import, compare, modify, analyze, and export formulary information related to CMS and Customer deliverables. This includes creating complex, multi-table queries as well as creating reports, data entry forms, modifying table structures and developing macros or visual basic code to support the outputs.3. Act as a liaison between Formulary Maintenance and IT and product development staff at MedImpact to ensure that the needs, recommendations, and concerns of the Formulary Maintenance Team are communicated to the appropriate individuals and appropriate actions are implemented. Assume responsibility for data issues or reporting tool performance issues and their resolution.4. Demonstrate ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive criticism, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment. Demonstrate ability to meet or exceed the competencies as listed on the attached sheet.5. Other responsibilities as assigned based on business needs.Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes: No:Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience: 2 - 5 years related experience in programming solutions in Access, Excel, Visual Basic (VBA), and Oracle (SQL). Experience with ODBC, Java, JDBC, SQL Server, Perl, and Microsoft Office document automation is a plus.Special Skills and Certifications: Able to build complex multi-table queries, forms, reports, macros and computer code to support various reporting products and programs. Proficient in the use of personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
REQUIREMENTS
Provides software analysis and development in support of Formulary Maintenance activities and processes utilizing Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, SQL, and other tools and languages. Works with IT staff to integrate multiple data sources to provide analyses and produce file and report outputs. Takes direction from multiple individuals within the Formulary Maintenance Team to construct analytical and output-oriented tools. Expert in designing and implementing high quality systems in a reactive environment.
