Software Contracts Specialist (4871)
Perot Systems Corporation, a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients, is currently looking for a Software Contracts Specialist to join our team in Pasadena, California.Job Responsibilities:
***Detailed Tasks - Strategic***
Assess, plan, execute, & manage engineering software contracts, including related services
Investigate opportunities for, assess feasibility of, recommend, plan, & execute multi-GBU enterprise agreements to leverage annual spend & other benefits
Identify multi-discipline IS and/or GBU teams & gather technical, business, & legal requirements; chair status meetings
Directly negotiate pricing & T&Cs w/ vendor
Serve as primary POC for contract disputes, escalation of support/other issues, licensing questions, software audits, etc.
Investigate, plan, & recommend software license management improvements
Facilitates annual vendor forums & technology roadmaps
Negotiate amendments to existing contracts as needed.
Coordinate w/ counterparts at Perot Systems Corporate to leverage Perot contracts
Monitor vendor performance; address & resolve issues**Detailed Tasks - Contract Administration**
Serve as primary contractual POC for IT contracts signed to date
Coordinate contract reviews, approvals, signoff, and administration
Update and maintain primary repository of contracts, contracts database, and vendor contacts in Outlook public folders.
Generate reports regarding managed vendors & contracts
Generate periodic update & progress reports
Create RFPs, RFQs, SOWs
Obtain price quotes from vendors
Assist w/ invoicing & payment issuesRequired Skills:
Knowledge of modern principles and practices of software license agreements.
Thorough knowledge of contract terms and conditions as they pertain to software licensing and it's related intricacies.
Thorough knowledge of purchasing and contracting laws and procedures.
Effective negotiations skills to create win-win relationships with vendors while ensuring Company's best interests are met and protected.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, vendors and the general public.
Skill in organization and process implementation.Desired Skills:
Knowledge in project management and software licensing laws and processes.
Skill in understanding technical documentation and terminology.Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Four years of additional relevant work experience may substitute for the required degree.Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
