Social Scientist: Modeling and Simulation Experience - Arlington

Strategic Analysis is seeking a well-rounded individual to satisfy a requirement for a social scientist with experience in modeling and simulation to provide focused support to its government clients and contribute to the Policy & Strategy Division programs.

The candidate must be able to self-direct and work effectively with others at all levels of an organization — with team members, senior leaders and clients. In addition, the candidate must be capable of providing thought leadership based on knowledge and experience in consultative problem solving.

Responsibilities:

The computational social scientist will apply his/her demonstrated expertise to the evaluation, development and implementation of cutting edge solutions in areas of key significance to the U.S. government agencies and organizations.
REQUIREMENTS
· Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in politics, international relations, national security studies, economics, anthropology or a related field, with a demonstrated modeling, simulation or gaming component

· Five years' expertise in modeling societal variables, influences and trends

· Prior experience with the Department of Defense is preferred

· Strong research skills and subject matter expertise

· Excellent organizational and communication skills

· SECRET level clearance and be clearable to the TS/SCI level
