SharePoint Engineer

Volt Services Group is looking for a SharePoint Engineer to work as part of a team that engineers the growing Windows SharePoint intranet infrastructure. Responsibilities include: System administration and implementation of SharePoint sites and applications and the associated infrastructure. Evaluation and implementation of new SharePoint technologies such as Webparts, 3rd party product integration, etc. Evaluation and implementation of tools and products to provide high availability and geographic failover.


Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience supporting/administering IIS 5.0/6.0. At least 2+ years experience supporting/administering SharePoint. Must be able to install, configure, and support SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services. Experience supporting SQL server would be a distinct advantage. Familiarity with SharePoint Custom Webparts and SharePoint development skills are a plus. Considerable experience with MS Windows web technology, especially Windows 2003/IIS 6.0 and SharePoint technology. Familiarity with predominant Microsoft technology, such as Live Communication server, Exchange, etc. General understanding of web security issues. Understanding of Networking and Firewalls including TCP/IP, BigIP, 3DNS. Production service orientation. Experienced in administering production servers, including high availability, disaster recovery and system failover alternatives. Solid communication skills to interact at all levels of the organization, from senior executives to technical experts.
