Senior Technical Architect

The Technical Architect is responsible for developing and leading the technical approach for building business solutions. For all assigned projects, the architect will ensure integration from requirements, design, architecture, development, test and deployment.Other activities include:' Deep interface with Vendor Technical Teams
' Assessing business needs and current capabilities of the technology plant
' Baselining infrastructure' Prepare vision and scope and project charter documents
' Develop estimates
' Creation of physical and logical technical architecture blueprints and documentation
' Execution and control of implementation/development' Test and validation of architecture and solutions
REQUIREMENTS
The technical architect must have a broad business understanding of multiple industries and expert level technical ability, thought leadership, personnel management, and the ability to guide and influence organizations towards highly optimized, measurable and structured solutions. This role requires the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, under tight deadlines and navigate varying perspectives and needs.
' 7+ years of IT/IS experience using Microsoft Technologies
' 5+ years of IT/IS experience using Unix/Linux Technologies
' 7+ years experience (engineering-level) of Intel/USparc/PaRisc based Systems
' 5+ years experience in IP and network engineering (Cisco products)
' 4+ years experience with clustering/loadbalanced/peer/grid technologies
' 4+ years experience with DB/Data mart/Data warehouse schema design, implementation incl ETL tools, and optimization' 3+ years management experience including budgeting and rationalizing TCO and ROI
' 3+ years experience in .NET
' 3+ years experience in C/C++/VB/Perl/PHP/scripting language' 3+ years experience in System Development Life Cycles and Project Management Methodology
' Strong knowledge in enterprise management solutions especially Microsoft (MOM,SMS)
' Strong knowledge in data/app integration technologies' Engineering level knowledge of messaging systems such as Exchange/Sendmail/Procmail
' Working knowledge of Switched Fabric SAN/NAS/storage and backup systems' Analyst-level knowledge in business systems and operations
' End-to-end knowledge of IT operations and process/procedures development
' Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
' Exceptional writing skills and knowledge on how to construct functional specifications, business processes and policies.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
' Prior large consulting company experience
' Prior management experience
' MCSE+/Sun/HP/IBM/Cisco Certification
' Speak Dutch/German/French"NICE TO HAVE" QUALIFICATIONS:
' CISSP Certified
