Senior Technical Advisor (Drilling and Completions)

The Senior Technical Advisor will work as part of the Drilling and Completions development team to develop and maintain Drilling and Completions engineering software. Under broad direction, the Senior Technical Advisor will demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving complex engineering problems during the development and application of new and improved products and processes.

This Senior Technical Advisor will work in a unique environment that offers 2 employee gyms (with basketball court, soccer field, outdoor volleyball court, and putting green), 3 employee restaurants with great tasting, fresh food choices, bikes to ride between buildings, and many more on-site amenities.

Responsibilities will include the following:

* May apply advanced fluid mechanics and solid mechanics theories and develop designs and models for the rheological characterization of fluids, flow modeling, solids transport, friction , wellbore tubular design, stress, thermal and flow phenomena and their effect on loading of wellbore tubulars, drilling optimization and downhole tool hydrodynamics.

* May develop and implement advanced drilling engineering techniques and create software products based on specifications developed in conjunction with customer application experts.

* May perform numerical modeling, data analysis, correlation and model development on complex projects utilizing existing commercial software and may develop new modeling software.

* May lead the development and testing of software products by providing engineering functions and may provide field support for existing software products.

* Prepares detailed project plans and as project manager is accountable for performance of projects according to plan.

* Resolves technical/operational questions and/or negotiates with representatives of other organizations and may be considered a subject matter expert in a technical field.

REQUIREMENTS
Ph.D. in Engineering or Applied Mathematics and 3 years experience in designing and developing Drilling and Completions Engineering Applications
OR
MS in Engineering and 8 years of experience in designing and developing Drilling and Completions Engineering Applications.
