Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the following:
1.The PKC Coupler Editor.
2.The PKC reporting system.
The Coupler Editor is one of the main pieces of software that PKC’s medical content authors use to build and maintain medical databases. It is currently written in C++ but it is targeted to be ported to C#.
The report system is built using C#, .NET 2.0, and ActiveReports® for .NET 2.0. It is designed to run both on the desktop, and over the internet using a web service and an ASP.NET web application.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
1.At least 5 years of programming experience, 2 of which should be in C#.
2.Experience with and an appreciation for the importance of version control.
3.A mature and elegant coding style.
It would also be helpful for this candidate to have experience in the following areas:
1.User interface design
2.XML
3.ActiveReports®
4.ASP.NET web services and web applications
5.databases
The ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
1.Be a self-starter, able to work independently, and work at a high level of quality
2.Have the ability to work cooperatively with others, both inside and outside of the Software Development group
3.Enjoy working for a small company
4.Enjoy and be suitable for living in a northeastern, rural environment
