Senior Software Consultant / Consultant QA / Tester

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a solution delivery team for a growing consulting services company. The prevailing technologies will fall within the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) web services service oriented architecture arena.

The QA or Tester Consultant is a solution delivery team member ensuring the quality assurance practices and tools are accomplished for all aspects of the solution delivery. The QA or Tester Consultant is able to recommend and implement best practices for quality assurance like Test Driven Development, Peer Programming, Peer Reviews, Configuration Management practices, and the tools to support the best practices. The QA or Tester Consultant is also responsible to ensure that the solution products adhere to the contract guidelines to include documentation, acceptance testing, industry standards, and system deployments.
•Support the team in delivering valuable and quality solutions to clients.
•Research and maintain technology abilities to meet a variety of solution delivery situations.
•Able to break down requirements to achievable tasks and deliver tasks according to time constraints and quality requirements.
•Able to mentor, interact, and ensure cross-team collaboration with solution delivery team members meeting project milestones and deliveries.
•Able to contribute recommendations based upon product vision, market research, product architecture, team abilities, cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
•Develop solutions to meet the product roadmap, product backlog, budget and time constraints, and compliance to existing systems.
REQUIREMENTS

•Research and maintain technology abilities to meet a variety of solution delivery situations.
•Able to break down requirements to achievable tasks and deliver tasks according to time constraints and quality requirements.
•Able to mentor, interact, and ensure cross-team collaboration with solution delivery team members meeting project milestones and deliveries.
•Able to contribute recommendations based upon product vision, market research, product architecture, team abilities, cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
•Develop solutions to meet the product roadmap, product backlog, budget and time constraints, and compliance to existing systems.
•Prefer a graduate degree in computer science or a related field
•5+ years experience with the full software engineering lifecycle.
•3+ years experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies; for example JBI, IBM Websphere, JBoss, BEA Weblogic, Solers, Sonic, etc.
•Experience with the full software product lifecycle through supporting deployments.
•Strong written & verbal communication skills; attention to detail
•Participated in a collaborative team environment to develop products; preferably a distributed team.
•Prior DoD experience is desired
•Ability to acquire a DoD security clearance, which requires candidates to be U.S. Citizens.
