Senior Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Project Manager

SMC’s Commercial Division is looking for a Senior Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Project Manager to become part of our team with an enterprise commercial client in Reston, VA.. As a Senior Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Project Manager, the qualified candidate must possess the following background.
REQUIREMENTS
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.
•7+ years of project management experience managing large-scale projects in an Information Technology environment.
•Advanced proficiency with automated project management tools such at MS Project.
•Ability to negotiate the overall scope of projects, defining concrete and measurable project deliverables
•Extensive experience developing and maintaining Project Plans, effectively managing project risks, issues, and dependencies within and across multiple organizations/platforms.
•Solid experience with IT Infrastructure Controls.
•Must be familiar with IT infrastructure and its control requirements/environments and be able to effectively apply this experience to the management and fulfillment of the projects’ objectives.
•Experience preparing management level presentations that demonstrate a mastery of IT restatement control and/or SOX compliance issues discussed and communicate complex issues in clear, simple terms, and contribute to the overall direction of the project and the development of business strategy.
•Multi-platform experience including but not limited to UNIX/Linux, Sybase/Oracle, Wintel and Weblogic.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
•PMP, CIA, CPA or CISA Certification.
•SOX compliance Project Management experience.
