Ernst & Young is currently seeking an experienced marketing manager for the Insurance and Actuarial Advisory Services (IAAS)—Property & Casualty service line to develop and execute innovative marketing programs. The marketing and communications manager for the IAAS practice within Ernst & Young’s Financial Services division will work closely with practice leadership and be responsible for developing and executing strategically-targeted marketing programs for the IAAS/Property & Casualty service line. This position dual reports to the Global Insurance Sector Markets Leader as well as to the Financial Services Office Marketing Team. Primary responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive, strategic marketing plan, budget and calendar that will increase awareness of the practice, both within the firm and the marketplace. This will include developing a go-to-market strategy with key marketplace messages that resonate with target clients Develop effective thought leadership (articles, white papers, surveys) and public relations initiatives in conjunction with external PR agency to help enhance visibility in the marketplace and increase media exposure for key members of the practice. Proactively identify marketing opportunities and coordinate E&Y-sponsored roundtables, seminars, breakfast series, or other client events; also identify, negotiate, prepare materials for, and coordinate E&Y’s presence (speaking opportunities, sponsorship, exhibiting, and attendance) at appropriate, targeted external industry conferences Initiate, manage, and own responsibility for the production of marketing collateral (e.g., brochures, calling cards, qualification documents, etc.) that helps position the group’s services offerings Work with other marketing and business development professionals to ensure synergies across practice and service lines.Ernst & Young LLP, an equal opportunity employer, values the diversity of our work force and the knowledge of our people.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Must be a bright, articulate, high-energy self-starter with a high level of initiative; proven ability to lead innovative marketing efforts required Strategically-driven with an ability to implement tactically Minimum 7-10 years experience initiating and managing successful marketing programs at a leading insurance or financial services firm, consulting organization or other Big 4 firm Knowledge of classic marketing principles, especially business-to-business marketing Understanding of the issues facing the financial services industry required; understanding of insurance and/or actuarial segment preferred Significant project management experience; ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Highly-organized, team-oriented, detailed individual who is deadline driven to solve problems and create effective programs Excellent organizational, writing, and presentation skills are a must, as is the ability to deal with individuals at all levels of a fast-paced organization Must be a high integrity team player Education BA/BS in Marketing or related field, MBA a plus
