Senior Manager, Ops Analysis

As part of the Capital One Process Engineering group, the candidate would be responsible for improving process performance by applying quantitative process improvement/redesign skills and teaching others to do the same through training and one on one coaching. The candidate will be expected to lead specific improvement projects across the Enterprise for internal clients, lead analytical work streams for larger cross functional projects, and provide consulting, training and coaching support to associates on process improvement techniques.
Individual will be responsible for the following:
Identify opportunities to improve customer and business impact through using a process focused improvement approach.
Develop business cases to assess process improvement opportunities.
Propose new projects, build sponsorship, gain resource commitments and drive project results.
Mentor/train team members in process improvement methodologies and tools.
Identify, codify, and disseminate best practices (internal & external) in process management.
The majority of this position will focus on project work in an internal consulting approach. Typical engagements are 3 to 5 months in duration and service internal business customers from all segments of Capital One.
This is a great opportunity to strengthen your analytical skill set by learning and applying the Lean / Six Sigma / Business Process Management methodologies to process improvement projects across the Enterprise.
REQUIREMENTS
Required:
Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience in process improvement.
Six Sigma/Lean trained, or similar experience required.
Effective communication, collaboration and influence skills.
Ability to integrate business knowledge and analytical insight to develop and 'sell' business cases.
Ability to work independently as well as leading process improvement teams.
Comfortable establishing relationships and performing in an ambiguous environment.
Preferred:
BS/MS in a quantitative major (i.e. engineering/operations).
Process engineering, process design and/or lean manufacturing experience.
Previous experience in a teaching or coaching role.
