Senior Java Developer - downtown - No Travel

You will be responsible for support of proprietary applications and interaction with software development vendors. Software development to extend and enhance purchased application software for web and backend processing will be needed.


Candidate will work on small team less than 5 on developing core applications.
REQUIREMENTS
3 to 10 years of total experience
- team player who wants to work in a startup organization and is willing to wear many hats and enjoys a fast paced environment
- excellent ability to communicate with internal users and to champion their requirements with external vendors
- primary responsibility for proprietary real-time video software (C# and C++)
- strong experience with Java and J2EE software development tools including Hibernate and Struts
- strong experience with Relational Data Base software development (Oracle preferred)
- understanding of Linux(emphasis) and Windows application hosting infrastructure including Apache, Tomcat, and JBoss
- ability to generate ad hoc reports from application data with tools such as Perl, JavaScript, PHP, Excel, Access, and Crystal Reports
- perform upgrades and develop extensions to externally developed software packages
- ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively manage own time in a fast paced work environment
- some demonstrated experience with project management
- College degree preferred
