Senior H&B Consultant/Principal - Private Equity M&A

As the premier human resource services and solutions firm, clients depend on our expertise to effectively manage the critical people issues inherent in all types of business transactions including merger and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, and private equity deals. We are seeking a candidate with a thorough, extensive knowledge of health and group benefits to join our team of experts that provide benefits advice and services in M&A situations primarily to private equity firms and the companies they acquire. To fulfill this role in our New York office, the Senior Consultant will:Provide due diligence support for clients involved in private equity transactions by examining health benefits plans and analyzing the impact of the transaction on the plans Lead and manage project team to deliver services on a short deadline Interact with financial and HR executives to ensure strategy is aligned with business strategy of client Market and sell our services to private equity firms Transition the relationship with acquired company to ongoing client relationship with local Mercer/Marsh office.

REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS degree required 10 years of health benefits experience in employee benefits consulting environment Proven ability to work with clients at senior levels and quickly assimilate new information Demonstrated track record in closing new business Excellent project management, communication and analytical skills.
