Senior Engineer

Directly supports the NAVY SOF Undersea Mobility Program Office at NAVSEA by providing technical services related to the acquisition and in-service support of ASDS, in-service support of DDS, and host submarine interfaces which include maintenance planning and execution, analysis and recommendations on Scope of Certification and SUBSAFE matters, documentation and technical package reviews and configuration management. This position requires significant interface with senior military/civil service personnel. This position is an onsite position at the Washington Navy Yard.Specific Skills Required: Strong SSBN/SSGN HM&E and submarine weapons systems/ordnance background. Minimum 10 years experience with submarine and/or manned submersible communities. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.Desired Skills: Navy acquisition, Scope of Certification and/or Quality Assurance Background. Looking for retired Naval Officer or retired E7-E9.Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent and 10+ years of related experience.
