Job Description

Negotiate, draft and counsel transactions in various areas such as sales, distribution, services, purchasing, government and other strategic and significant commercial agreements. Promote and manage internal compliance programs such as those relating to Medicare fraud and abuse and corporate governance. Mentor/coach the law department and internal clients at Philips Medical Systems manufacturing and sales sites. Coordinate/facilitate client operations to ensure compliance with Royal Philips and Philips Medical policies and directives.

Preferred Profile

The successful candidate will have 12+ years of significant, relevant legal experience preferably in or with a global matrix organization. Have demonstrable negotiation and drafting skills in complex corporate and commercial transactions preferably in the medical industry. Have meaningful experience in Medicare fraud and abuse, corporate governance, ethics and revenue recognition matters. SOX also a plus. Have demonstrable experience with drafting and negotiating government contracts and the management of a government contracting program. Be comfortable with having to provide strong ethical guidance in a sales driven organization. Be a strategic thinker who can focus on providing to the business added value through efficiency and good business sense. Be collegial, cooperative and an open person who enjoys being a team builder in a rapidly changing environment. Have experience in general competition law and have the ability to travel.
