 The primary focus of Control Assurance is the assessment and improvement of internal control policies and procedures within business process and information technology environments. These services may come as part of an internal audit, audit of financial statements, or as individual projects resulting from major organizational changes, implementation of new technologies, or reliance on third-party service providers. Our audit approach recognizes the importance of information systems in achieving effective internal control in larger and more in complex organizations. An assessment of key internal controls is tightly integrated into audit plans wherever efficient and appropriate. Management of service organizations frequently wants an
independent study and evaluation of controls for consideration by users of those services. Typically, these reviews result in service auditor reports consistent with Statements on Audit Standards (SAS) 70.
 
As part of our Control Assurance practice, System Project Assurance (SPA) aids clients' IT organizations in creating processes for developing quality systems and managing IT projects. In doing so, the SPA group provides guidance in IT change management, project risk assessment, software testing and validation, quality management, and conversion management services.
- Master of Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting and Information Systems, or BA/BS in Business Administration.
- 5 years experience in Information Technology as a systems/business analyst and/or programmer analyst working on multiple platforms, including mainframe, client server, and web.
- Expertise in IT change management, system project management, software testing and validation, software
quality management, and conversion management.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
- Excellent potential for: 1) playing lead role in designated tasks of the project team in gathering, organizing and analyzing data; 2) making major contributions in assuring products/deliverables meet contract/work plan and 3) strong potential for growth and acceptance of additional responsibilities.
- Previous consulting experience preferred.

- Assume responsibility for small components of engagements.
