Senior Consultant

Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA) is a leading worldwide provider of solutions and services for the management of IT infrastructure, business information and application development. We are currently looking for a qualified individual to join our Technology Services team at our Herndon, VA location.You will deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and trials on the Security products supported by the CA Technology Services department. Review, Develop Proof of Concepts and perform needs analysis as required. Act as technical liaison to the customer, while interacting with multiple departments with in that customer organization. Must have the ability to canvas for new opportunities to present to the Sales force. Interact with multiple departments within the organization. Fulfill contractual services obligations for CA's Security products such as assessments, product Health Checks, Installation, Customization, Implementation services.
The successful candidate will have 5-8 years experience in the IT industry. Candidate should have experience at professional IT services company or software provider and have a broad understanding of technology concerns. Strong attention to detail and follow up skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Excellent analytical skills. Ability to succeed in a team based as well as autonomous environment.The successful candidate will improve CA TS overall effectiveness; create and publish demos for Solution Centers, publish solutions to TechWeb, participate in web casts. Industry certifications; ITIL foundation, CISSP, SNIA as appropriate. Vertical industry information like Financial, Healthcare, MFG. Mentor junior people both in the office and at customer engagements. Operate more independently than a consultant, requiring less daily direction from his/her manager. Negotiate with internal and external clients to achieve planned goals and objectives (Communication Skills). Participate in internal projects that improve Technology Services overall value or effectiveness; e.g., participate in creation of courseware, web casts etc.Take ownership of a sales opportunity from the perspective of their product group. Ability to implement product functionality to assist in meeting trial objectives. For Services consultants: may be the lead technical person on the project; implement solutions according to architectural specifications and best practices; Install and configure CA software according to documented customer requirements; adhere to CA processes for project implementation. Recommend and document improvements to the Best Practices. Must have proven experience in the areas of eTrust Admin and eTrust Access Control . Prefer bachelor degree in computer science or information technology field. Must be available for 60% travel.It's an exciting time at CA.
